DPM 2012 mmc error

Hi guys,

 

hope someone can help

 

Every time i go to view a report in DPM 2012 i get an error saying that the mmc has stopped working.

 

after looking in event viewer i can see that I'm getting an application error, event ID 999 (see below)

 

 

The description for Event ID 999 from source MSDPM cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

the message resource is present but the message is not found in the string/message table

 

 

Everything else is working fine, i just cant seem to view any reports. I've tried logging in as a different user and rebooting the server, i get the same issue. I check once a week and last week i could view reports without problems, so I'm just a bit stumped as to why all of a sudden I'm getting this error, nothings been changed on the server.

 

just wondered if anyone has come across this error before

Check all DPM services are running and that all dependencies are running also.

Have you installed windows report viewer, you may need this.

I've checked all services and dependencies are running, ill take a look at that link and get back to you

Here's a list of everything it requires to run, you can check one by one.
