Just thought I'd come back to say where we are as a school. Our numbers this year have been great with Year 7 8 and 9 all returning - and some new members.

The biggest news is that two companies have given us money to invest in our club. One of the Dads is a director of an engineering company, and a massive Warhammer fan. So his company have given us £700 to purchase some new Combat Patrols. We have been given an amazing discount by Gamers Emprium in Swansea - on top of the cheaper prices they have. A second company has given us £200 to purchase the consumables - paints, brushes etc.

We have a logo, we are getting polo shirts for the inter-school matches. Due to the length of matches we will be playing 500 point ones for now and building from there.

I still have no idea what I am doing - but just enjoy seeing the kids work on their skills, communicating with each other and generally enjoying themselves in a safe environment. We had a visit from the Headteacher yesterday too who spent the whole dinner hour talking to the pupils about their skills. They appreciated that she came down.

So - onwards and upwards. We're always looking for sponsorship if any companies are here and want to give us stuff. Plenty of photo ops for you.

Congratulations! That sounds absolutely amazing, your students are so lucky to have someone so invested in ensuring the club is a success! - and kudos on securing the funding. If you haven't already, I'd definitely consider spending some of it on terrain, as that always helps the games feel bigger/more immersive than the good old d.i.y. hills/buildings made out of text books etc.

Woohoo, that's fantastic news! It's amazing how much a little sponsorship can do. Glad your kids are enjoying it.

500 point games? Guess nobody's playing Custodes then 🤪

The other member of staff who helps me out is our DT Technician and so we are using his department 3D printers to run off scenery based on designs found online.

Awesome. Then I'm sure the students are having an absolute blast!
