What jobs have you got for today?

Set up new shared areas - done

update laptops - not done

teach kids how to use the new hall sound system - done

create photo disks of a recent sports event - not done

show a staff member how to scan using new all in one device - done

then following up on things sent to me in the holidays - not done

 

Not bad really seeing as I am only 5 hours today and I was called to 4 out of the 12 classrooms.

That quiet afternoon I hoped for was a drastic FAIL, every smartboard needed the drivers/firmware updating which is a pain when the staff need to be using the smartboards when teaching a lesson

Bring back the old school whiteboard and pen!!

I made a start on a new image (early I know but we have a big summer project including a new build, new VOIP and a new Meru network) made a few tweaks to the staff GPO (intranet sites into IE) updated eStream and had an put out for quotes to replace our UPS' in the server room.

Just replaced the hinges on our tall integrated fridge. Straightforward to replace the hinges... a pig to get the door straight again!

Started our deployment of 134 pc's. We image machines before deploying to desk. A little bit more time consuming but allows us to test before we deploy them.

 

And any issues with the image only effect a small number of people and can iron them out pretty quickly.
