OWA and Joomla

First, I'll admit I didn't search too hard for an answer yet on this, I wanted to get the Edugeek opinion first on how to solve this.

 

I'm currently using IIS for our web server but plan on moving to Joomla. Can anybody recommend a Joomla mail module that syncs with Exchange?

Having played a little with Joomla, I believe (I'm sure sysman will tell me I'm wrong though), that it doesn't matter if you're using IIS or apache. Why can't you get a link to go to the OWA server?

Another option is to use the wrapper and display your OWA inside that.

 

You can use Joomla on IIS can just be a pain to get it running first off. Although I think most people prefer Apache becasue of its speed.

My website currently is IIS with .NET with SQL. I've read about the difficulties adding PHP after .NET has been installed.

 

I've already built my new site using the portable Reactor Server (mysql, PHP, Apachy wrapped into one) without even thinking that I shouldn’t be able to have Apache and IIS on the same server. :oops:

 

I'll figure something out.

@jmair: You can run IIS and Apache on the same server but you obviously have to use different ports. Apache runs nicer on Linux anyway so just find a modest machine and stick it on that (P4 with 512MB RAM is more than enough for a school website).

We have apache and IIS on the same server, apache serves port 80, and I bunged IIS on port 8080.

 

Things I need to host on IIS are reverse proxyed through apache to IIS on the same box, so it appears as if it's all coming from apache on port 80, so I still only need to have the one port open on the box.
