I am currently rebuilding my mums website from scratch as the one I made previously doesn't really work and is broken and just a mess. I am rebuilding it in ASP.net C# as I have been teaching myself this and I can do it better than PHP which I have no idea about.

 

At the moment she uses hostpapa for her website, email and domain name hosting. However they only support linux servers so she will need to move hosting providers soon.

 

I am wondering if anyone knows of any Windows hosting sites that will provide email aswell, that isn't ridiculously expensive and is easy to manage etc.

I’m delighted to now be part of that team, and I think the benefits for CSNewMedia are brilliant.

What does this mean for you as a CS New Media customer? There are a few immediate benefits. First, over the next few months you will certainly be getting a hardware upgrade as equipment is migrated to brand new state of the art Dell machines in Paragon’s own datacentre; we’ll be scheduling that with you well before time. Second, domains will move to Paragon’s direct ICANN accreditation and as a result you will see a significant price reduction. (I should add that Paragon is committed to never increasing prices). Third, larger customers with servers will have access to a managed support team, who will be in touch directly.

The most important change is that there is a new phone number, 0207 1838165. This will get you directly through to the (now much bigger) CSNewMedia support team. Of course you can always ask for me. If you currently use our legacy card payment system you may also be required to re-enter card details on the system as your renewal falls due; we will let you know.

Apart from that, there should be no change in the way you interact with systems; they will function as normal and you need make no changes. In the coming months we will be upgrading the CSNewMedia account area to provide new features, and Paragon will be in touch to offer an optional upgrade to their own proprietary Cloud Hosting system (one of the big benefits of this merger).

Anyone know a good host that uses Plesk for management of reseller hosting as I hate CPanel but love Plesk and long term I cannot see the new owners continuing with Plesk

Oh I have thought of a downside. £25/£30 or so to install your own SSL certificate.

 

It's also Windows and I use Linux hosting ;)
