[sims] Printing Student Reports (ROA)

Hello,

We're looking for a way to print ROA (Record of Achievement) reports by student.

 

 

Currently they are printed through the individual report routine in SIMS by subject - meaning if we wanted to print one students' reports we'd have to go into each subject and print that student manually.

 

 

Is there a way to say, "I want to print every subject report (ROA) for Joe Bloggs"?

Depending on how your system is set up, maybe you could tailor another individual report template that collated all subjects together.

Are the data columns for each subject unique, so they could all appear on one template?

We would be looking at around at least 13 merge fields per subject - there are 12 subjects.

 

This would put the machine under a lot of stress and I can only presume it would fail halfway?

Nope, should be fine. Try it.

I've done up to 4/5 comment boxes per subject in one template.

Mostly it's grades with up to 10 per subject and 1 comment.

 

Its worth a go, and if it's too bad, you can always export the marksheets to excel and throw them at Word manually. It'll be way quicker without the SIMS overhead.

You could also use SIMS Profiles - although I would advise either reading the manually or trying to attend some training either ran by the LA or CAPITA.
