OWA only showing internal emails? (2007 owa in rubbish mode ie11)

I have 1 teacher who can't see emails sent from contacts outside the organisation whilst using OWA. In their 2010 Outlook all is fine all emails visible. So only in exchange's 2007 owa (now in rubbish mode thanks to ie11) they can only see a list of emails from contacts within the school.

 

The owa inbox count shows the same unread quantity as the full outlook and if I do a search for a particular externally sent email it will show up and can be read from owa.

 

I have pressed every button, looked at all the options, I cannot find a filtering rule or any rules in general that would cause this kind of behaviour?

 

Ideas? (Do I need a PC with ie9 on to set a setting?)
