abillybob Posted February 12, 2015 Author Posted February 12, 2015 have you got them to change the hire car yet , as you've openly admitted that your knowingly driving round in a car with bald tyres on it on a public forum you might just be lining yourself up for a no payout from the insurance if anything happens whilst your driving it and a few points on your licence. just ring them up tell them the car was delivered with balled tyres and it needs to be changed today otherwise your reporting them to the police and or trading standards its really not that difficult. abillybob Posted February 20, 2015 Author Posted February 20, 2015 Sorry need a bit of a rant, this carppy Vauxhall Corsa they gave me as a replacement had major electrical issues. Last night at home my neighbour came around to tell me the cars driver side window was open, I couldn't understand I didn't open any windows and never have! So I went out to my car made sure both of them where closed and went back inside. Wake up this morning and both windows where open again in the front only half way down though, it rained last night and was very cold this morning so what happened.... Well the rain covered the interior of the vehicle and it all froze, the inside of the windscreen was frozen, all the seats and anything the rain for on was frozen, flaming nightmare. I can't be bothered to call them and complain again because I'm getting my car back on the 23rd, I'll just make them aware of the issue when they have the car back. The other one had electrical problems as well and both where under 10,000 miles and both where 63 plate cars. Sorry to those that own a Corsa but I'll never touch the things again with a barge pole, you'd of thought that the hire car company would have at least quality checked the cars before letting them go as well. Very angry made me 30 minutes late to work this morning!!

Kids these days, do they ever listen...

I needed to take my mum to hospital two days ago at around 10.30 at night, how would public transport help in that case!? If it works for you that's great but it wouldn't work for me. It's not the case that I didn't listen and don't tarnish me with the same brush as irresponsible children who don't listen. I am not a child.

So I appreciate where you coming from. Its just, don't except me to give you much sympathy when you have car problems. Its a thing, it doesn't matter. Think positivity. You were in a car accident, you got out ok. Not everyone is so lucky. You car will be fix soon, it'll all be over and it'll become a distance memory. You in a job you love. It's Friday. Stop moaning about the bad and focus on the positive. I haven't got 3 problems in my pot, I've solved 12 problems and I've got some more challenges to solve on Monday.

Very angry made me 30 minutes late to work this morning!! Mate, I know it's going to be a bit of an annoying thing to do, but ring up and call them asap and at least let them know what happened. See if they have an email address or something that you could use instead. You don't want a situation where they'll blame it on you when you return it. Certainly if rain got into the car, it'll need a proper dry out to prevent the damp and mould. With everything else you've told us about the company, you wouldn't want them to try and give you a big ass fine for damages on top of everything else. 1
