Hi

I know there is somewhere in SIMS which allows a teacher to automatically open their class registers and assessments when clicking the 'Take Register' icon, but I can think where it is. Currently the teachers have to search for their classes.

Does anyone have and ideas?

Thanks

Thanks, but the school is Primary and do not make use of the timetable or the widget. Are there any alternative methods? I'm told there is a setting somewhere, but I can't locate it.

When you click Take Register it opens up the teacher's timeline with lessons and should highlight the current one. Opening that then gives links to marksheets etc.

This too relies on the timetable being in place.

When they search for the lesson, it is finding the lessons right? and they can take a register? What happens if they click browse at that stage? It should show that teacher's timeline. If you can see the timeline here, it's most likely that the teacher account that has a lesson associated and configured in Manage Classroom Staff, is not the same account that has been configured with a login in system manager.

Isn't this simply set up within the Pastoral Structure? Make sure you staff are correctly assigned as Registration Tutors to their classes within the Pastoral Structure.

The other thing to ensure that this works properly is that the user accounts were created from the personnel records and not from scratch.

Easiest way to check that is to open system manager and see if the teachers accounts have "user" in the "roles" section (when you search but before you go into a record)
