Hi I can see 4M have released their first batch of "Share & Compare" P8 data yesterday. Does anyone know if this includes a full lookup or is it just their own students' P8 data? If it's the full lookup, would anyone be kind enough to share it with me?! Thanks

Hi I have a student who was excluded in June (9th and the 16th) 2014 and at the time they were SEN P, however under table 14 which states: [h=3]Table 14: Number of fixed period exclusions by reason, in care and SEN provision in the 2014 summer term (terms 5 and 6)[/h]Does anyone know why he won't be counted in the table? Thanks for your help, the 2nd query has been dealt with. With regards to 2020Q, the year taught in and year group is blank and greyed out (as they're leavers). If I readmit them, add the year group and year taught in and then mark them as left again, SIMS would clear the fields again. Perhaps it's a bug?

The codes are: 2020Q - Please check: Pupil year groupand age inconsistent. 2502Q - Zero attendance sessionspossible recorded for Pupil onRoll. Pupil should be recordedwith zero sessions possible ifdually registered and spent all ofthe previous term for whichattendance data is being collectedat other registration. Thanks, but the school is Primary and do not make use of the timetable or the widget. Are there any alternative methods? I'm told there is a setting somewhere, but I can't locate it.

Hi I know there is somewhere in SIMS which allows a teacher to automatically open their class registers and assessments when clicking the 'Take Register' icon, but I can think where it is. Currently the teachers have to search for their classes. Does anyone have and ideas? Thanks

Hi Is anyone able to point me in the right direction for this census error? I'm pretty new to SIMS so I'm sure it'll be very easy for you. Sequence: 1880 - Pupils entry date to school missing or after the Census date The 3 students this applies to all left after the census date so I'm thinking it is related to that somehow. I've checked the obvious i.e. the start date is entered (which it is) and the attendance appears to be OK. The entry date is greyed out - i guess that's because they've now left? Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks

I'm being told that it was manually entered incorrectly, so it wasn't as if the MIS generated the UPN for the student.

Hi Pretty new to SIMS so please forgive my ignorance and newb question. A student has a former UPN which is the same as the UPN which another student should have as their current UPN. When trying to add the current UPN to the correct student, it won't allow me as it is another students former UPN. So my question is, how do you delete the former UPN as I can't find a way via the student record. Thanks

Vikpaw and Elsiegee, just out of interest have you responded to the questionnaire as of yet?

If only a small percentage of females respond to the questionnaire, clearly this would run the risk of a type two error in the analysis. However without knowing the gender of the people answering the questions, how do we know we have a sufficient number of a certain gender without asking the question?

I'm not necessarily using gender for inferential statistical analysis, however if only a small percentage of females responded to my questions it may affect the external validity of my findings. Be careful what presumptions you make!!

It will allow me to enhance my statistical analysis as I will be able to analyse why certain demographics answer in certain ways. Hi Mark, thanks for that. It may be shocking for some of you, but I am aware of this issue. However, there are more than 4 people in the UK using a Cloud based MIS, hence my request for those of the participants using the cloud to pass the survey onto their colleagues.

Thanks to all who have participated. Would just like to bump this to the top of the board in case anyone missed it. I could really do with some more data on the cloud based MIS users, so if anyone who has completed this already has colleagues who work on the cloud based MIS and who may not have seen this post, then please pass it on.
