I am looking at Interactive Projectors and wondered if these can be used on Walls only or can be used on other surfaces such as drop screens or some kind of portable\mobile board solution exists.

If they are used on a wall, I am guessing it also needs to be painted white.

I worked in a school a while ago that used normal 4:3 ratio whiteboards and it worked great. You don't want to use drop screens as they move and the interactive facility wont work.

The problem I have is some rooms have limited wall space where all children would be able to easily see the board facing forward, so those rooms currently have mobile 4:3 smartboards and ceiling mounted projectors which are approaching their EOL needing replacing.

I don't really want to replace with 4:3 smartboards and would like something large and 16:9 - interactive flat panel displays are deemed too small and the large ones too expensive.

I am wondering if anyone has made a mobile board solution for 16:9 Interactive Projectors - I have searched but cannot find anything (I guess most people have usable walls so developing a mobile solution is deemed uneconomical for companies?)

We use a couple of our Smart interactive projectors on walls (i.e. with no board). They should be happy with anything as long as it is flat, has a minimal bezel and doesn't deform when fingers or pens are used on the surface. Edited by pcstru
