Requirements are Gigabyte board i5 top end 16gb ram, 32gb if I can get it as reasonable cost 120gb samsung evo ssd or 250 if price is right graphics - nvidia gtx range, must support dvi and hdmi, at least one of each, plans to add additional monitors to the two i have psu not fussed on as have an 850watt modular one here no optical as plenty of spare case not fussed as have spare but ideally like to get it pre built but open to ideas I am struggling to pull something together, anyone care to take a look for me. Machine is fairly overspec'd for general use but need the power and not wanting to waste money on i7, i5 will do. Cheers
mrbios Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 I know you say need to order this week, but it's worth mentioning that Intels 5th gen broadwell processors are hitting the shelves in the next two months. They will work in Z97 boards, so it's only the cpu to worry about, but just throwing that out there. (Minor performance improvements mind you, so it depends on how eager you are to get the new system) It's further worth noting that around August / September time is when the 6th gen will be released (Intel stating that they're unlikely to delay this even with broadwell having been heavily delayed) with a new socket, Z107 chipset boards and DDR4. Again just throwing that out there as something to think about in case it's the sort of thing you worry about.....(I'd recommend a spec but don't have time right now, will edit tomorrow if no has done by then)

Maybe that will force the price down on the 780 ti although not many places seem to sell many of the 780 ti cards, aside from maybe amazon / ebay and maybe a few on other sites. Think I looked on ebuyer / aria etc and only found about 3 or so 780 ti cards 780 ti with the 760 for physx would allow my frame rates to be at least 60 plus FPS with all the FAA etc enabled.
