SIMS Learning Gateway 2

Does anybody know if the new SIMS Learning Gateway 2 - with web parts will allow staff to fill in behaviour comments for selected students? Ive got the demo's but I couldn't see this option available to staff only to view.

 

Im not sure if it depends on what permissions have been set or that it wont be a feature at all.

 

I guess PhilNeal is the best person to answer this, but others may know.

Sorry to take so long to respond - I had to ask someone. The behaviour recording isn't there in the December release of SLG; it will come but we don't have a date yet.

I asked on the capitaes forum also and got the same response - i've been telling everybody it would have been included, looks like ive got some back tracking to do.

Word from Capita is that there were 'performance' issues with the webparts, so they are now scheduled for release in April 08

 

All schools who have ordered or have SLG1 should have recieved a letter from Capita with details of problem and a log in for a test site.

 

I hear that problems are almost sorted, so a release of SLG2 in April sounds very likely

Yes I got the letter last week I think - 15th April 2008 is the date on it, its been quite annoying as we have been waiting since September - but i'd soon rather they get it right then to run with a half working version.
