I have never heard of them, but it's free for your first 100 teachers, which basically makes it free for us.

Edit: I decided to install it on a spare tenant we have to see what it's about, they ask for billing contact information immediately, which I wasn't particularly keen on.

Edit2: Whelp I've been stuck on this for 2 hours:

Congratulations!

Your Teacher Dashboard environment is now being set up, and will be ready for use shortly.

Removing/re-adding the app on sharepoint doesn't fix it as this is something that happens on their end, not our sharepoint. Not looking good!

Hi

We saw these guys at Bett and have been trialing it. Looks good. One or two staff are starting to use it in lessons.

@JRowley - it took overnight for ours to set up. Their support have been helpful so far but the issue we're having is more MS related:-

When bulk adding new users to Teacher Dashboard, it requires all users to have their OneDrives already provisioned. Apparently this is possible with some powershell-fu. For our existing user base this isn't too problematic but for new pupils (ie over the summer) we're going to need it to work. Does anyone have any idea of how to do this?

It took about 4 days here, they found a problem with it and emailed me to let me know they had fixed it, which wasn't too bad. This was on an old tenant we have, installed it again on a new one and it was almost instant so I think they resolved the issue.

We haven't really done anything with it yet so I haven't looked at provisioning OneDrives, I might have a look next week, if so I'll post back here.

Just as an update to this, they now have two pricing plans, one free for unlimited teachers (as far as I can see) and a paid extra to get Student Dashboard as well. I am currently trying to set this up but my one criticism is there doesn't seem to be a lot of help getting it working. For example there are no pre-written SIMS reports available for exporting classes, the advice given in the FAQ is basically get the system administrator to do it. We don't have student email addresses in SIMS so once we had got the class lists it took A LOT of faffing trying to get these addresses into a CSV for the 460 odd classes we have.

I am considering the paid module but at the moment the sheer ****ache it has taken to set up so far is putting me off doing it every year. Still not got it working correctly but this seems down to Microsoft's provisioning (or not!) of multiple users. I think the whole thing has great promise but needs to be made more slick.

@nikaso, Its great to hear that you are trying out Teacher Dashboard and I'm sorry you have experienced difficulty with the set up.

Have you spoken to our dedicated support team who are available through the Online chat about your SIMS report? While we don't have pre-written SIMS reports, we are happy to work with our customers to create a reusable work around if they are having issues with the set up.

I tried to play with the free version last week but it just spits out Error 500 during setup.

@Quackersthere was a brief issue last week with the Microsoft API recognising ourauthentication token, which might have caused the 500 error. To be sure, please can youcontact me by private message with your tenant name and I will get ourdevelopers to check that everything is working properly.

sorry to bump an old thread; I am not too familiar with sharepoint etc, I have been asked to get this installed but am not quite sure how?

I am following this page Signing up to Teacher Dashboard | Teacher Dashboard

I have followed step one and added the app to my sharepoint site, but can't see what to do next to get to step 2 - sign up?

if I go into my sharepoint site I can see the app, but clicking on it just shows a 902 error "Couldn't determine which org you are from" (which I presume is because I haven't signed up)

Doesn't seem very intuitive but it might just be my SharePoint ignorance showing through?

Hi Mikes

The most commoncause for a 902 error is that our application cannot authenticate your userwithout going to a specific URL. Pleasecan you confirm that you are trying to access Teacher Dashboard via a tenantshortcut link as described here: Need help or support? | Teacher Dashboard?

You will be able toget to Step 2 and complete the sign up procedure once you are able tosuccessfully click on the application and access it for the first time.

If you are stillseeing the 902 message, please PM me with your tenant name so I can help youfurther.

Thanks
