DavetheITguy Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 Hi, Guys/Ladies, Quick question, I'm looking for an alternative to Forefront TMG as it is unsupported as of April this year. I've looked into Smoothwall but it's a bit expensive, can anyone suggest any good alternatives. Thanks, Dave

Asgard Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 + 1 for the Sophos UTM We swapped ours over the summer - they have some clever scripts to take your TMG rules and import them into the UTM. They may still have the offer on to get a free hardware box for trading in TMG -which basically means you have to show them you have TMG running. Because of this we ended up getting two boxes in a HA cluster

ellsandell Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 We were/are in the same boat as you. We opted for Smoothwall after a very lengthy price negotiation and managed to get it down compared to the original quotes we had.
