ActivInspire Slow Startup

Hello all,

 

My AcctivInspire startup really slow lately. It usually takes about 3 - 4 minutes. Please help "How to fix it".

Hi TyDo,

 

Have you had several versions of Java installed over the life of the computer? Uninstall all versions of Java from the computer and reboot. After it comes back up install the latest version and reboot again and try to start ActivInspire.

Thank you so much for the advice. I did exactly what you wrote and it worked. Now, it only takes about 40 – 50 seconds to startup.

Hi,

 

We have the same issue here.

 

24 Brand new 64bit windows 7 machines 8Gb RAM Core i5. ActivInspire 2.3.65940 newly installed Java 8 Update 13 newly installed no other versions.

 

Our old machine with an older version of ActivInspire 1.4.20411 do not have this issue.

 

Tried upgrading to ActivInspire 2.4.66096 but it has not fixed it.

 

I have noticed that another window appears underneath called equation editor. Is this significant? Is it a 64bit issue?
