rush_tech Posted November 29, 2007 Report Posted November 29, 2007 we had this problem but in MX2004...the only fix work around we found was to export as a .png file and then it would let them save it.
PEO Posted November 29, 2007 Author Report Posted November 29, 2007 hmm If i save to my documents then its fine but soon as i try to save in to folder that is deeper in tree structure i.e. my documents|my work|ict|ocr|unit 1|task 2| then it brings up the following error.
PEO Posted November 29, 2007 Author Report Posted November 29, 2007 as if this problem has been around for a while and yet no fix is available
Athlona Posted May 18, 2009 Report Posted May 18, 2009 Hi everyone please can someone tell me there is a FIX for this problem??? Last POST was 2007 LOL... I have two IT rooms both with 25 clients in them all starting with this error message... Hope someone can help... Thanks
meastaugh1 Posted May 18, 2009 Report Posted May 18, 2009 Try Modify>Canvas>Image Size, ensure the size is specified in pixels and press OK. Try saving again. 1
Edu-IT Posted May 18, 2009 Report Posted May 18, 2009 I'm sure we've got this problem too and if I remember correctly it's still unresolved despite much effort. I'll try to remember to look. 1
Athlona Posted May 19, 2009 Report Posted May 19, 2009 Students reported they have used Fireworks 8 for years without any problems till NOW!!! I will tell them about using pixel canvas and not CM and see if that corrects the problem... Going to spend as much time as possible on this problem as the students prefer this software to Photoshop... Thanks for you advise and help...
Dodgex1 Posted May 19, 2009 Report Posted May 19, 2009 We get this, and I know it sounds odd but if we change the canvas size by 1pixel (usually down) it lets them save. On rare occasion its more than one pixel but usually just one. 3
DaveJ2717uk Posted May 19, 2009 Report Posted May 19, 2009 We got around this successfully(MX 2004) - but the only way we could do it was to allow 'everyone' full control of C:\ drive. Kids can't see the C:\ drive, so I'm not to bothered doing this. I know, I know security, but if there was another way we'd be using it. This works no matter what the image size and no matter where in there home directory they save it. 1
Athlona Posted May 19, 2009 Report Posted May 19, 2009 Changing pixel size down by one sounds like a FIX to me allowing C drive to be accessable sounds to risky for my lot... hackers all of them... LOL Thanks for all the advice peps...
steven487 Posted September 5, 2009 Report Posted September 5, 2009 Rite ladies and gentlemen i have found the way to fix macromedia fireworks via whatever version you have basically it wont let you save the document so internal error comes up on the screen so just before you save the document go to modify and canvas then canvas size once you are there change the size of the canvzs to any size you want the document to be depending on what you are doing and thats it you can now save alll you firework documents and put then where ever you see fit any other quiries contact me on [email protected] 1
