I have AD on win server 2008 r2...

can I add another ad on win server 2012 r2 as a replication with the old one (2008 r2)?

Yes you can.

 

(you wouldn't add a new one, you'd join it to the existing one)

You would need to prep your domain to be able to put in a 2012 R2 Domain controller though. Microsoft have changed how this works with 2012, so promoting the first 2012 R2 DC should do this automatically. But if you're anything like me, I prefer to do this manually as a separate task (control freak)

Yes, you can.

In addition, ensure the domain /forest function level is Windows Server 2003 or higher.

How many Domain Controllers do you have at the moment??
