Hardwiring of a UPS

I'm looking at a new 5000VA UPS, which needs to be hardwired:

But I'm a bit confused at to whether I need to buy anything else... can a sparkie just wire up the UPS or do I need one of these too:

I figure someone where is bound to have one and will be able to give a definitive answer?

We have a very similar model here, and it just requires a sparkie to wire it up. All ours did was put in a couple of 16A connectors in (we have 2 UPS's).

 

Ours put in some rubber grommets to make it tidy and just ran the cable.

If you look at the PDF, it implies that you get panels and internal connectors to replace the socket panel on the standard delivery. I'd check before ordering!

Not that I've experienced. We had to send a 10kVA model back at my last school and that didn't use any official kit - just a sparkie running cable and putting a grommet into the hole to keep the cable tight.

Ah.... is the extra kit for is you want hardwired OUTPUT too? (i.e it's an I/O hardwire kit...)

Because one of the diagrams in the PDF looks like it removes and Output panel and replaces it with a blanking plate??

Our electricians managed to hardwire the electrical output to the input - APC were very understanding, and simply told us what the problem was when we sent them a photo of the back of the UPS. It's worth double-checking the input power requirements with APC - we thought our 8000KVA UPS was okay with a 16A input, but it turns out it's meant to have a 40A input.
