[sims] Importing Applications

Hey Guys,

 

I was just wondering if someone could send me a clean file example of what SIMS is expecting in the Routines > Admissions > Import Applications area?

Have you searched the documentation area?

Yeah, but I only came up with:

• Generate an XML file from your website, in a format that can be recognised by SIMS.
  

 

But I don't know what SIMS will recognize?

Chapter 5 (starting on page 35) discusses (among other things) the import of enquiries from your website using an XML file. The content you requested can be found a little further on, in Understanding the Required Structure of an Enquiry Import File on page 36.

 

Chapter 6 (starting on page 73) discusses the import of applications from your website using an XML file. The content you requested can be found a little further on, in Understanding the Required Structure of an Application Import File on page 36.

The Admissions for Independent Schools license is quite costly. There is the ability to import admissions via the path described in the original post without paying for an extra license however I am also struggling to decipher how to put together the ATF file. There is guidance on the gov.uk website but obviously this isn't tailored to SIMS.
