  1. I work in a sixth form only school in England. We receive applications via a web application form. From there, I export application data into excel and using a word mail merge, produce an ATF file that can be directly imported into SIMS to create an applicant record. I tend to import name, address, telephone numbers, e-mail addresses and previous school. This can all be done without having to purchase the additional license via 'Routines - Admissions - Import ATF file'. My e-mail is [email protected] if you would like any further information.
  2. The Admissions for Independent Schools license is quite costly. There is the ability to import admissions via the path described in the original post without paying for an extra license however I am also struggling to decipher how to put together the ATF file. There is guidance on the gov.uk website but obviously this isn't tailored to SIMS.
  3. We're researching an Active Directory Provisioning tool. We want it to be able to collect class information to enable the setup of e-mail groups per class. Does anyone know if the SIMS ADP tool does this? On another website I saw a cost of £750 for the license plus annual fee of £250 for it (dated 2013). Does anyone know if this is accurate? I have seen the recommendations for Salamander and that is something we will certainly consider but I just want to find out some more information regarding the SIMS tool first. thanks for any help!
