Unable to view hotmail account

Hi guys.

 

Im having problem with a win 7 home premium laptop. When I log in to the users hotmail account it doesn't show the content properly. I think its a certificate error. Im using IE. The funny thing is that the same thing happens on google chrome.

 

Any ideas?

Check to see what version of ie they are using. May need to upgrade to a later version.

Check date and time on laptop to make sure the certificate hotmail is presenting is valid. Also check all windows updates have been done as there have been multiple updates to root certificates.

Thanks. Ive updated and checked the time but still not working. Have to say I keep finding viruses with malawarebytes. It might be related😁

Someone has just come up to me with this, seems the certificate isn't trusted, date and time are correct...

Im still struggling. Hotmail is owned by Microsoft so what's this about? Im gonna remove ie and google chrome and reinstall ie. Don't think will help but worth a try

does it do it on any other sites - google, yahoo, ebay etc? Could it be that the Root CAs are out of date? Can you add the certificate manually?

Try to download mozzila and it happened there too. But this time was clearly telling my about the certificate error. How do you add manually?

on firefox,

 

click the box on the end of the address bar that is moaning about the certificate,

 

click the more information button,

 

click the view certificate button

 

click the details tab

 

click the export button and save the certificate.

 

Find the certificate and right click and install certificate

 

follow the wizard through and see how it goes.

There is a copy to file options but its greyed out.
