Can anyone get this tool to work?

Hi all,

 

Wasn't sure where else to post this so figured I'd just go for here. Can anyone get the postcode distances batch tool to work on this link? DfE, In Your Area

 

Been trying to get something useful out of it for last 30 or so mins and can't get anywhere with it! I know my formatting is off somehow..but not sure how! Obviously, i'm not going to upload my data to here but if someone could get it working and post an example i'd be most grateful.

Seems to work using our postcodes. It's as the crow flies though so not too sure its use.

Just worked fine for me, came out as 2.3 miles (3643 metres)

When it says enter the column number, it means a number! So 1 and 2 (or whatever you have). If you try using column letters it doesn't work and gives a Zero

The batch tool seems to work also for me. Created a CSV in excel with first postcode in column 1 and the second postcode in column 2 and it gave me the correct distances in a downloaded csv file. Only tested it with two sets of postcodes though.

works a charm - I had 6 lines in a csv file, first column my school postcode in the format aa9 9aa, 2nd random made up ones in same format. Set the delimiter as comma and away t went. Came back instantly with distances, except for the couple which weren't real postcodes.

Share a couple of lines of dummydata so we can see what you're trying to achieve - also, make sure you're file is less than 200kb as per DfE webpage guidance!

Thanks for responses all. Got it working. I was putting in the column letter instead of the number.
