marsdenprimary Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 Hi. We have a RISO com colour 71500 here in school. I'm running Printopia so we can print from iPads etc... however i'm struggling to find a driver for Yosemite. Anyone else having this problem and managed to find one? Not contacted RISO yet as I wanted to check here first.
Michael Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 To the best of my knowledge there are no MacOS drivers. As it is, their Windows driver isn't even signed. I think it's fair to say they're not brilliant in the driver department. 1

Michael Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 This is why I'd usually recommend Ricoh or Canon. Their drivers are robust (signed) and are multi platform compatible, but unfortunately in many cases drivers are the last thing on people's minds when making such decisions!

Unfortunately this was one of those decisions I didn't get a say on... Always the way eh? :-/ *Oh the life of a technician*
Michael Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 Oh I agree, I had the pleasure of fixing a RISO deployment recently, as the 32Bit and 64Bit driver versions were totally different and regularly crashed the spooler. I didn't even think it was possible, but the driver versions should always read the same. RISO's newest drivers are certainly better, but still not signed. Makes you wonder why they haven't gone about this to be honest...
