stevenlong1985 Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 I have an idea for a wood work project for home. My current coffee table is looking a bit crap, so its a good excuse to do make one. My idea is a retro gaming coffee. The centre of the table will have hard glass with a LCD screen underneath ( probably from a old laptop) wired into an arcade video converter board and into that probably a NES or a SNES.

eyetea Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 I carved myself a nice knife (capable of spreading butter!!!) and a nice spoon! However 3 attempts at a fork I haven't tried in best part of half a year!

But since my mum started her own refurbished reloved furniture business (painting old stuff and fixing it) my dad has been making some really good furniture out of reclaimed timber in his spare time. I did to RM at school as I used to love Woodworking, but have since gone of it as it requires effort. However 3 attempts at a fork I haven't tried in best part of half a year! Forks are quite hard, so I've stuck with spoons and sporks. Not yet done a knife, unless you include taking an old blade and making a handle for it. I've also made a tungsten carbide knife sharpener, takes 3 strokes to make a knife shaving sharp. lol
