GrumbleDook Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 Some of you who follow SharePoint new on twitter may have seen the sad news that Dave Coleman @davecoleman146 has passed away. His wife announced that he passed away yesterday morning. He had been battling with a long term illness for some time, but it is still a shock to family and friends. Although a lurker on EduGeek he presented to EG members on a regular basis at events at the Microsoft Offices in Reading, as well as SharePoint events across the country. Many will know him from SharePointEduTech or from Twynham school, and he will be sorely missed by family and friends. 4

Sylv3r Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 Thanks for letting us know Tony. I spoke to Dave on a couple of occasions via telephone but never met him in person - he seemed a great knowledgeable guy.

GrumbleDook Posted November 4, 2014 Author Posted November 4, 2014 (Via Dave's wife - Sue) Dave's funeral will be held on Wed 12th Nov at 2pm at Bournemouth crematorium. We will welcome anyone who wishes to attend. A donation page has been set up for Prostate Cancer UK and the link will follow later. We decided that Dave wasn't a flower man but he enjoyed raising money for the charity.....£1500 raised so far but his personal goal was £5000. David Coleman | memorygiving.com A few of his SharePoint friends have now committed to Movember in his memory and to help do more to raise money for cancer research.
