Hi there,

 

I am not sure if this has been posted in the last few weeks or not.

 

We are having Issues connecting onto the SIMS Capita SFTP site to send data.

 

When we try to connect I get the following error.

 

Error: Server unexpectedly closed network connection

Error: Could not connect to server.

 

I have checked with LGfL and none of the ports are blocked, everything is open.

 

We were able to send data a few weeks ago but not now.

 

Anyone else Experiencing these issues?

Hi we are having the same issues at our school trying to send data using there sftp site, we are going around in circles.....

If you have mistyped the connection details you will be blocked until you ask us to free up your IP address. It's part of our attempt to ensure hackers are blocked.

Surely you've whitelisted all RBCs like LGfL outbound IPs where you have a standing data sharing agreement (for break\fix purposes) with the LA's?

The issue has now been resolved. Our public IP Address was blocked at Capitas end. Once this was unblocked I was able to log in via filezila and coreftp ready to upload files.

Yes,

 

I logged a call with the Helpdesk. First I was told that we had to check our logs as to why it was failing and that it wasn't a fault on Capitas End because they were receiving data. It took over a week for the issue to be resolved. But I guess now we know what the issue is it will take less time.

 

One case I heard off, from other people that they have raised the issue 5 weeks ago and they still haven't figured out what is wrong.

 

Another issue is that another user has to have there IP address unblocked every time they want to upload data.
