sophos v7 and SIMS.net

every time we load sims.net the sophos savservice goes mental and slows staff computers / laptops including our own now we have setup exlusions but the only one that really works is to stop scanning all remote files which we cant do so was wondering if any one has had any problems like this and if they have found a cure then please let me know thanks

I found that setting up S:\ as a scanning exclusion in the staff machine policy solved this completely, sophos seemed to be trying to scan the entire contents of simsfldr

Yes, Disabling scanning on network resouces, Excluding the S:\ drive and Excudling the SIMs programs folder seems to work for us.

unfortunately we have had the same problem here, we have tried disableing the scan of S:\ and all SIMS folders but it did not work, the computer is still running really slow to the point where everything is non responsive and only thing to do is turn it off via the power button, is there anything else i can try?

contact sophos they will have you run a logging process and it creates a couple of log files and you send them off they come back quickly with a solution for you.

Would that solution be to find a less resource hogging AV?
