Little-Miss Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 More importantly... Now that she's officially a southerner. @Little-Miss party at your place right? BYOB! Is it too early for me to book my days off?....nahhhh 1
ICTDirect_Dave Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 BYOB! Is it too early for me to book my days off?....nahhhh Deal, you're providing food tho right?
jmak Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 For us it's spelling, grammer or punctuation Grammar?
Pyroman Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 ...I never knew they gave the option to put "Lord" as a title. So tempted... Le EDIT: Be on the look out for a "SHODAN sympathiser". You mean you've actually used your real name on the show passes all this time? I've been Lord Che Guevara, Dr Fidel Castro (both university of Havana or sililar) can't remember other fake names i've used. Also set up an e-mail account for each year so all the spam goes straight to that rather than my "proper" e-mail.
witch Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 Of course he hasn't! As for me, I am Ms Wi Tch Seems to work
X-13 Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 You mean you've actually used your real name on the show passes all this time? Yup. This year it's not glitching out, so my name also contains numbers and punctuation. 1
Pyroman Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 (edited) The suppliers also LOVE when i give them my e-mail address, "yeah i'm really interested, my e-mail is [email protected]" =D Edited October 17, 2014 by Pyroman
X-13 Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 I got a few laughs from suppliers when they spotted "GLaDOS Wrangler" the other year. [i have really bad handwriting...]
CAM Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 The suppliers also LOVE when i give them my e-mail address, "yeah i'm really interested, my e-mail is [email protected]" =D Best part of having your own domain, unlimited addresses and spam bins!
russdev Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 For us it's spelling, grammer or punctuation on any signage we may have. Despite getting many eyes to look at it during production we'd see an errant apostrophe, missing letter or misplaced word in a glaringly obvous place on the big day. It's almost sort of a tradition now! Last year went ok for us only major problem was our main guy doing cabling/IT side doing his back in Russell

X-13 Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 You are a very bad man. Or a very good comedian. I lol'd IRL.
Miscbrah Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 (edited) Haha thanks. Two years back I managed to get in with "Dangerous Pe*******"[word that describes what Jimmy Savile was] as my job title so lord help me if they start checking this year. I'll have to drop by the EduGeek stand so we can all see each other. I expect Sunnyknight to be fighting people, us throwing paper planes and swearwords at the RM stand, and witch with a pointy hat and a cane pre-annoyed at my inability to curb the language. john Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 I've just stumbled upon the ExCeL case study for BETT, and this stat: "Over 5TB of internet traffic passed through ExCeL London's routers during the event, which was well within the venue's capabilities. " That's a lot of geekyness and that was in year 1 of BETT at ExCeL so bet that has increased now its entire venue is full of free Ruckus WiFi
witch Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 witch with a pointy hat and a cane pre-annoyed at my inability to curb the language. It's a broomstick, dearie. Me? Pre-annoyed? Heaven forfend More likely to be @elsiegee40 telling you off 1
