Hi All,

Recently upgraded MDT 2012 Update 1 to MDT 2013.

Trying to deploy windows 8.1 but it won't capture the image.

Keep getting the message 'FAILURE ( 9704 ): USMT 4 Cannot be used with Destination OS 6.3.9600.17031.

So I ran the ADK and selected UMST 5.0 went through the wizard so what next???? Do I have to upgrade the Boot Images again???

Google not been too much help too me either.

Thanks in anticipation of any help.

So I'm back to Snapshot of machine before upgrade if I can't get this fixed :getmecoat:

I just can't believe something so simple can be this difficult, and all I want to do is deploy 8.1 to some tablets.

Update:

Uninstalled WAIK, Re-Installed ADK with the WinPE and I can rebuild the Deployment Shares once more. Also the UMST folder is now populated.

Well here goes another build and see what error messages I get this time. Glorious fun this

Removed WAIK, re-installed ADK with almost all boxes ticked including USMT 5.0 and I can now update shares AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, CAPTURE Windows 8.1 Builds.

Success, soon as I ran the ADK the USMT5 folder populated with files and I knew was a good sign.

So as other people had said on internet maybe it could be WAIK conflicting with ADK.

Certainly a lot easier in the Virtual world having the fall back to Clones, Snapshots and Veeam if all went fall back.

Thought I'd share my results just in case others had similar issues :D
