LukeC Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 Hello, We have deployed air on numerous laptops around school but we are having an issue when playing videos from the camera roll, where the laptop displays “airserver cannot play this video using Microsoft direct show. Microsoft direct show does not support this format”. everything else with airplay and air server works fine, has anyone came across this issue and have a solution. I have installed the recommend software (haali splitter and FFDShow) and the latest version (2.1), the iPads are IOS8.0 and IOS 8.0.2. Laptops windows 7 x64. It works fine when mirroring to a mac.

LukeC Posted October 3, 2014 Author Posted October 3, 2014 I had seen this but i'm just looking to streamline the process for staff to make it as easy as possible for them.

ass17 Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 Camera roll videos are MP4 format, so if you AirPlay it out make you have installed QuickTime only. We didn't bother with any other recommended software. Works we for us!!
LukeC Posted July 10, 2015 Author Posted July 10, 2015 Just an update. I know it been a while since I started this thread but I have solved the problem. To get the videos to play from the camera roll we need to do the following Install Klite Codec pack Install Quick time Install Direct X Install Air Server And it now works nicely.
