localzuk Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 Now that I'm more confident with SCCM 2012, I am doing some tidying up - for example I'm cleaning up all the drivers we have on the system (we don't need 5 different versions of the same driver, for example). One thing I want to do is shrink the size of the Boot Image used for PXE booting. So, what drivers are necessary? I know NIC drivers are, and potentially hdc drivers for SATA controllers, and SCSI controllers (if we had any). What drivers do you guys include in your boot images? I want an absolute minimal package, to speed up the initial PXE boot. It currently stands at 200Mb, which is a bit ridiculous.
tmcd35 Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 In the boot image? Only NIC drivers for OS's and machines we actually use. Not had a need for any storage controllers so far.
