Win7 Logs off as soon as logged in

Hi,

 

At a Primary the head can't login.

 

Whenever she tries to login it freezes on the loading circle, screen goes black as if it's about to load the desktop then it comes back with "logging off.." and goes back to the main login screen.

 

I tried logging in as the admin account and I got in fine.

 

Any ideas?

A bit cliché but it does sound like a virus. Use malwarebytes + whatever AV soft you have and do a full scan.

Corrupt profile? Log in as admin.. Back up all heads data/desktop files ect ect...Double check it is all backed up. Delete local profile (and server copy if there is one) restart and log back on?

Tried another member of staff, they couldn't log in either.

 

They can log into other computers fine.

Can you log on as anyone else? Would definitely recommend booting in safe mode and a full scan with malwarebytes. Had this recently and a DLL file had been deleted by a virus, couldn't log on till the file was put back.

Log in as a local user? Or connect to the PC's "Computer management" from another domain pc and look at the event viewer.

Is the use profile service running? Can you check event viewer?
