I don't have USB flash drive currently, can I do this via DVD? if it is possible then how can I make a dvd bootable? Only new DVD or I can use any used one?

To create a bootable DVD from the ISO all you need is a blank disc and a program like ImgBurn or CDBurnerXP.

 

Watch out for the bundled adware when installing either of those programs though.

Not had a chance to have a proper play with it but so far very much like Windows 8 but with the added goodness of the Start Menu and Virtual Desktops

 

Have noticed that some icons have been updated in Explorer too..

I think I prefer it to Windows 8. I need to give it longer than 30 minutes though - I stuck with Win8 for 3 months before I went back to 7.

Been playing around with it on a VM for the last 15 minutes and it's definitely an improvement over Windows 8. Overall I'm feeling slightly disappointed by it so far though. I mean, seriously, is that all Microsoft are capable of accomplishing in 2 years given the resources they have available? On the face of it other than the return of the start menu and windowed metro apps there's nothing much of interest? Hopefully there are more changes to come and a load of tweaks under the hood that I haven't noticed yet.

 

Underwhelmed so far TBH...

The problem is that although the design and logic are now correct this release needed to come out two years ago and in effect 10 is a smoothed out version of 8.1 rather than being groundbreaking. Definitely evolution over revolution this time, although I'm expecting more features to be added between now and next milestone release.

 

What 10 really shows is what a mess the previous bunch made of the Windows 8 release. How Ballmer, Sinofsky & co thought their half baked, restricted choice vision was fit for market I'll never know.

Hopefully there are more changes to come

There are lots of things we haven't seen or heard much about yet: Internet Explorer 12, Cortana, the new Notification Center, Wi-Fi Sense, Storage Sense, the Modern UI version of Office 2015, new desktop icons, etc.

 

I think it's a bit too early to draw any conclusions yet.

They have said that the consumer end features will be announced in Q1 2015, this is just the technical preview.
