Hi All

Really need help here,

Some of our ipads have been updated to ios8.2 that in its self is not a problem as such.

However If I try and enrol them on to our mdm (Apple profile manager) via a https weblink it fails with a certificate error ssl

If I try with an ios 7 ipad it work with the certificate warning but still allows me to the web enrol.

The certificates being used are self signed certificates.

Do I need to recreate new ones or do I have to buy a certificate from trusted source.

Certs are fairly new to me.

Does the iPad trust the CA that's issued the MDM certificate?

/edit obviously not, derp.

If you go to https:///mydevices and log in to that, there should be a "Download trust profile" link. Click on that and see if you can register then.

In that case, I think that you need to get the CA root that's on your Apple server to be trusted on your iPads. The simplest way of doing that would be to download the trust profile on a computer and airdrop or email to the iPad.

Are you using Apple Configurator? You can set up certificate trust profiles on that as well.
