witch Posted September 22, 2015 Author Posted September 22, 2015 Oh...heck One of the other Fujitsus that I did all the driver updates on etc has BSODed three times in the space of one hour yesterday. Well, I think I may have got there - I am now officially at my wit's end
BKGarry Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Hiya @witch did you image these laptops or install them from scratch. I am asking as I have had strange issues with images before when it comes to USB3 drivers and images before with MDT and it sounds very similar.
Patrick Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 All i can suggest is to put your own school sysprepped image on one, and load basic drivers one by one as and test it. Might narrow down what driver (if it is a driver) is causing the problem.

Patrick Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Take one off staff for testing, apply this: How To Disable the Automatic Restart on System Failure in Windows 7 And leave it on your work bench throughout the day as you work, doing tasks with it every now and again, joining wifi / wired network etc.
BKGarry Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 hugs and eduhobnobs for @witch I know how annoying it is to try and replicate an inconsistent issue 1
witch Posted September 22, 2015 Author Posted September 22, 2015 I imaged them myself I have one on my bench - only wired ATM as there is no wireless in this room - but that is another story - I have set it to not restart, I have configured the dump files. I have left it on all day from 07.30am till the automatic shutdown at 9pm AND THE *£&!&%% THING WON'T BSOD
BKGarry Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 IWBs or projectors to blame at all? I know it sounds stupid, but there must be something in the classrooms they are using causing it if it doesn't happen at home
witch Posted September 23, 2015 Author Posted September 23, 2015 Nope - happens when not connected to anything within the school. Again, came in after leaving one of the culprits on all day and night. No BSOD I will have to "hope" that one of the ones that I have stopped auto-restart might BSOD so that I can get a pic of what the actual problem is - so that FUJITSU will do something under warranty
witch Posted September 23, 2015 Author Posted September 23, 2015 So a teacher managed to take a pic of the BSOD but I think she might have missed out the bit I actually need. She is going to email it to me later (no signal in school) but this is what I got from it: Stop: 0x00000027 (0x00000000BAAD0073,0XFFFFF8800BC96D) Mrxsmb10.sysAddressFFFFF88003E705BE base at FFFF I dont suppose that helps, does it? 1
BKGarry Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 found some hotfixes here https://social.technet.microsoft.com/forums/windows/en-us/6ca64d52-3373-4a93-95a1-d4025b1cddf8/bsod-on-mrxsmb10sys 1
BKGarry Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 no problems @witch it seems to be some legacy SMB share connections, do you have any servers with an old OS which they are connecting to? at least you have the dump screen which means you can track down which component in windows is causing it.

We only have one server 2008R2 I can't track anything from that screen - I have searched with no results.
BKGarry Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 I searched Mrxsmb10.sys BSOD 0x00000027 As that sys file is a M$ one and not a driver one strangely enough
Patrick Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 It definitely points to a network issue regarding the laptop, that smb.sys file is the culprit, that's why they don't experience it at home. This is the hotfix for it from MS: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2584874 Be really interested if it works, please come back with an update if possible.
witch Posted September 24, 2015 Author Posted September 24, 2015 I now have the hotfix to apply and I have been pointed towards the autotune setting which might be causing an issue. I will try and get it all done on at least one laptop and let you know But as some of them don't BSOD for weeks at a time - you might be waiting a while! 1

Don't suppose you have sophos? https://www.sophos.com/en-us/support/knowledgebase/122573.aspx
witch Posted September 25, 2015 Author Posted September 25, 2015 Don't suppose you have sophos? https://www.sophos.com/en-us/support/knowledgebase/122573.aspx Sadly not, we have ESET. One of the laptops that I did all the other recommended fixes on such as driver and bios updates etc is now black screening! Ho hum
BKGarry Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 Black screening? As in not loading after logging in?
witch Posted September 25, 2015 Author Posted September 25, 2015 S'ok - think it was a battery issue - whew! Have put fixes on a well-used laptop so hopefully I will know in the next week or so.....
witch Posted September 27, 2015 Author Posted September 27, 2015 ...and the laptop is still blue-screening. I need to check that it is the same error. I am losing the will to live
BKGarry Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 *EduGin* being supplied to @witch Just our of interest are the accounts logging on got Local or Roaming Profiles? I know it sounds stupid but maybe there is something nasty kicking around in a profile that could be causing it. Also do you know whether the BSOD occurs on a certain program they are using?
