New cctv camera system on the cheep

How can I make a cctv system setup on the cheep.

 

I have a spare mirco server with storage so it's just hardware of the cameras and software.

With acti cams works well. Software is free upto 16 cams

At home I have hikvision IP cameras which record to a dedicated computer that runs free hikvision pcnvr software. Then a client software runs on a small PC for viewing.

I recently did this for a small business on a budget. I went with:

Wouldn't go too cheap on the software and would definitely recommend getting a paid version. I've used the above software and it works a charm for not a huge amount of money

Just bought some Ubiquiti Airvisions - the bullets and the domes. Very impressed with them, the software is great even though we're using them via BlueIris software. They do seem to catch the light badly sometimes which I suspect is just the dome cover, yet to experiment with taking them off.
