Help - pcounter doesnt record all jobs i.e they dont appear in reports or in pcounter.log. The user balance changes so we know the device is talking to the server. I think it is an issue with the pcountercache. The jobs are recorded in the log on the device ok.

Any suggestions

How have you set your log file up?

When running a report are you just using the current log file as the data source or the whole folder as they get split up after x amount of days.

On your print queues you need to ensure they the accounting option if set to user account balances and logging or logging only as apposed to none, this will then record it.

Thanks for the reply. the jobs don't always get written to the pcounter.log. i.e if i release 10 jobs in one go, only 6 will record in the pcounter.log. I have been told pcounter uses pcountercache when pocunter.log is busy and its failing to write/read to the cache.

Good luck with that, 2.75 has been released this week but just as poor. I will try and speak to Altman in the week and see if there is any update on the new version any time soon.
