Gentlemen,

I don't suppose anyone has come across an error of "Installation did not succeed" when trying to install .Net Framework 4?

When I click on the log file link it just crashes.

I've used the Microsoft Fixit tool to remedy the problem but no avail.

Is there anything else I can try?

Where and how are you trying to install .NET Framework 4 ? ie under standard AD user account, logged on as domain admin / local admin etc ?

When attempting to install an application I generally have to goto the properties of the file and ensure under compatibility tab it is set to run as administrator under all users --> ensure I am logged on with domain admin account and also hold down shift and right click the setup file --> run as administrator then the setup appears to install correctly

Does that help at all

Also are you using the msi installer for .NET Framework 4 and pushing out via GPO / GPP to install on a number of machines or just the one machine where it is corrupted and not working etc ?

Are you attempting to run a repair install on it or have you removed all the .NET Framework and then re installed freshly ?

How are you installing it? Manually or deployed? And are you using the online or offline installer?

^^^^ Exactly that - worded better than myself lol

Sorry I'm all over the place at the moment.

I've tried used my account and the domain administrator account. I have used both the online and standalone installer and no luck.

This is a fresh install on a few machines, just using the online / standalone installer.
