Yes, Stone definitely do. And considering that VeryPC use the same model of Clevo as Stone does (The W550EU) it would surprise me if they didn't too.

Have a chat to @VeryPC_Colin_M as I believe VeryPC were looking into including TPM chips into their laptops.

TPM chips confirmed for VeryPC laptops.

Look for a main brand really.

Why? A laptop is a laptop.

@ICTDirect_Dave, was asking John for 5 of those yesterday (some desktops too), do you know if it's got anywhere?

Couldn't tell you right now mate. He's been offsite in a meeting all day so far, and I'm only just starting to make a dent in the emails that have accumulated in my week off!

He's due in shortly though so I'll give him a poke for you!

How about one of my lovely refurb T410's?

£295 gets you 2.4GHz i5 CPU, 4GB RAM, new 120GB SSD, win 7 pro, and a TPM chip :)

We've (literally) got dozens of these from Dave and they work really well with Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 :)

Remember though, with Windows 8.x you dont need a TMP chip to make use of BitLocker as you can just use a password at bootup without the need to plug in a USB memory stick.

Most SSD's such as the Samsung ones have hardware encryption which can integrate with bit locker, so you don't necessarily need a TPM module.

We recently purchased a dozen Toshiba R830 something or other with a 2nd Gen i7 CPU, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD and 13" display the model includes the TPM chip.

They came in at about £325 with 3 year RTB and all of ours were in immaculate condition and very quiet even under significant load when we tested a demo unit.

Stone and VeryPC can't be that bad considering they have a lot of very happy customers who keep coming back. Got an old (and I mean old - I think it has an XP SP1 sticker on it) Stone PC running some software in one of my schools, and really can't fault it. I always consider both of those companies when looking at machines, and always had great service!
