Any one taken 'advantage' of the samsung wifi offer?

 

Going to buy 30+ ipads.

 

Already have routers in each classroom wifi not very reliable. Now looking at managed wifi, had a quote for Samsung AP A302CI any good/bad?

 

Any help appreciated.

Not really enterprise grade only offering 300Mbps. This will likely grind to a halt with more than 10 concurrent connections. Routers in each classroom? Can you expand i.e make and model,what sort of routing you're doing.

I have tested with Samsung Wifi in the past. Can handle 30+ concurrent devices streaming multicast video on the 3x3:3 model. (But WiFi has been around for years, so if you can't do this you shouldn't be in the market.) Only negative is that the control plane is still handled by a central controller instead of distributed intelligence (Aruba Instant, Airtight, Aerohive) and the product is still in its infancy and lacks some enterprise feature that others support. But price is always selling point

Look at a better system like Ruckus or Aruba (controller based), these products are more feature rich. Or if you want to future proof yourself its best to look at products from Aerohive/Meraki and Airtight...... The controller will be dead soon.

I would say if your looking at a cloud based solution the best choice (currently/at time of writing this) in the market is Aerohive. They are the leaders in this space.
