ICTDirect_Dave Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Cleaning out the office cupboard and I found these two beauties. There's two logos I've not seen in a while. Ahh memories...
Joanne Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 think you need to clean out the cupboard a bit more often!!!
ICTDirect_Dave Posted June 3, 2014 Author Posted June 3, 2014 But then I wouldn't stumble on things like this that need sharing with you lovely people!
Little-Miss Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 I've seen where he works! I wouldn't wanna clean that place....
ICTDirect_Dave Posted June 3, 2014 Author Posted June 3, 2014 Commodore, takes me back to my Amiga days Me too! Good times! So, when're you installing? Overkill..? I've seen where he works! I wouldn't wanna clean that place.... What do you mean, it's lovely. Just a bit... full?
themightymrp Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Commodore, takes me back to my Amiga days Me too, and my C64
themightymrp Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 But what are they?? The picture at the top or the Commodore things? Or is this just sarcasm?
sted Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 would that commodore disk work in an amiga though its a 1.4mb disknot a 720k like the msdos one
ICTDirect_Dave Posted June 3, 2014 Author Posted June 3, 2014 would that commodore disk work in an amiga though its a 1.4mb disknot a 720k like the msdos one Seems to be a bone of contention opn the interwebs. I distinctly remember formatting 1.44mbs on my A500 and using them as 880k discs. Seemed fairly reliable back then.
tmcd35 Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 AFAIR, the Amiga formats single sided 880k. You can use DSHD disks but it will only format/use one side. I'm sure I did this loads on my A600/A1200 back in the day. Also remember sellotaping over the right protect hole to re-use unwanted cover mount disks
themightymrp Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Also remember sellotaping over the right protect hole to re-use unwanted cover mount disks Oh yes! Did this Also remember my dad (I was too young, aww bless) snipping out a notch in the old 5 1/4 inch C64 disks to make them double sided
tmcd35 Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Oh yes! Did this Also remember my dad (I was too young, aww bless) snipping out a notch in the old 5 1/4 inch C64 disks to make them double sided I used to have a couple of 5 1/4" disks to use with the schools BBC Micro's when I was about 8 or 9. Or better still (from my High School days)... You had to eject the disk and turn it over to read the other side!!!
CHR1S Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 The picture at the top or the Commodore things? Or is this just sarcasm? What do you think lol!
themightymrp Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Ahhh good times.... and such a speed improvement on the old cassette decks. I seem to be going off on a tangent here, sorry!!
