Ergo Computers

Just wondering if anyone uses Ergo Computers and what there experience of them was for PC's in regards to quality of kit and reliability on delivery times and Warranty.

It always used to be rebadged Asus stuff but i've not seen any in a good few years. Norfolk County Council are still using them in schools (I think)

We had a deal with them to, sent out their fliers to new parents, they bought a laptop at stupidly high price but it had full warranty for 3 years.

 

We stopped a couple of years ago after only one parent took up the offer and another one had a faulty bios battery, the engineer they sent out took over 2 hours to replace it.

One of our previous heads [can't remember which one] used to swear by them.

 

I can't comment on the quality though, a certain company told them not to bother coming to a meeting as they run this LEA...

 

 

Why not try to get some demo kit for a bit to see how it fares?

They came back with very competitive prices compared to my normal and three other suppliers but always go by quality, service and warranty as well.

I had used them in the past and they were ok, however I'm actually more inclined to do so now too as they have recently been bought by the same group that owns CMS/Zoostorm which I also swear by.

Cheers had just spotted an article about VIP taking them over as it were. Good old Google VIP Group acquires IT supplier Ergo Computing UK - Smith Cooper - Midlands Accountants

Expensive, poor communication with client and the machines are not that great. Used in the past but never again. maybe since the takeover they might have improved

Currently we tend to use Ergo as our main PC supplier (although we do speak to a number of suppliers each time we have a pot of money to replace some of our PC's). I used to really like the Ergo Mini PC 501, however they've now stopped supplying this and are instead selling a product called the Ergo Flex (same case as the Very PC Flex).

 

As PC's though I like them, they have always been reliable for me and because we go through a bidding process each time we can buy PC's I know they are good value. 5 year warranty, can't complain with. We now have 100 Ergo PC's in school, and it's not often I have to make a warranty claim (maybe a handful in the 12 months we've been buying from them).

 

Only slight issue was with the last bunch of PC's, the delivery was put back a few days due to a fault with usb slots on the motherboards.
