Microsoft Remote Desktop

Anyone else using this? Do you know a way to keep a session open on a 2nd screen? Currently every time I lock my Mac and come back the session has moved to my main screen, not a biggie really but considering I lock my Mac about 25 times a day I am getting a little annoyed at have to move it back.

Are you using Remote Desktop Connection or the newer Microsoft Remote Desktop? If the latter, you have a choice between what type of full screen you want in the settings. Try Apple's native one, never had a fault with it.

Isn't this more of an issue with OS X itself? Multi-monitor support is still pretty bad...

Using the newer one, 8.0.7. Full screen works but I don't see the option to select full screen on 2nd monitor.

CoRD doesn't support network level authentication btw. Not sure if that is an issue?

I find CORD to be much better than the MS solution, use it all day every day. (in Mavericks)

I use Microsoft Remote Desktop on Mavericks from the app store and it works perfectly fine for me!? Though I have my own Office so I don't tend to lock my computer but lock my door instead! If you're on the VLSC consider downloading and installing Microsoft Office for Mac it comes with a Remote Desktop client which works really well and has a lot more features, though I have never properly used that one.
