About greyskull

  1. Either my FileMaker Wizardry or Schoolbase
  2. Just going to add Schoolbase to that list.
  3. Xebo is the one you want for digital signage. Open source, very flexible; if a little clunky at times.
  4. For very little money, as opposed to free, there is reaper REAPER | Audio Production Without Limits
  5. Sure that should be " CONTAINS WORD-ART AND COMIC SANS.. BEWARE" ?
  6. Portable home syncing is A NIGHTMARE. Much like offline files on WinDoze. Avoid!
  7. Apologies for the necrobump, but better than a new thread I thought.... Is there as of 2015, a way to give out both NTLM and Identd from one Smoothwall device, or are two discrete boxes required? Best
  8. Nope, Nada, Zip
  9. Thankfully Office 13 DOESN'T let you do this!! It forces you to save as before you can do any editing. Hours of my life back!
  10. Check where they sit in active directory
  11. That's exactly what we've done; although staff moan that it doesn't go to their downloads folder...
  12. Oh lordy.... The pain of off line files!
  13. Morning all, We are in a situation, where our music/sibelius suite needs a bit of a re-build as it's current set-up of using mobile home directories stored on the OSX server but Authenticated via A/D and syncing on log-on/log-out REALLY isn't working as well as it could. With this in mind; I think we would much prefer to go down the route of using A/D for authentication and also using our Windows File servers for all documents. SO running in a pure network home environment; with the osx server merely used for pushing profiles (or preferably managed preferences Via WGM). We are currently running on 10.6.8 on both the Server and clients; but what I would be interested to know, is whether or not you think later iterations of the OS provide a more stable/reliable experience in the 'Magic Triangle' Set-up. Reason being is that we will have to upgrade our site license of Sibelius if we go to a later Os! Cheeers!
  14. Hmmm, as I say other than having to go trough the automated set-up once from exchange auto discovery , which consists of clicking next, next , next. we have had no issues with any of the office suite from 2007-2013. If you can turn it off, Do it!
