Michael Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 http://www.microdirect.co.uk 0161 248 4949 http://www.insight.com/uk Two companies I use a lot, good support and most importantly great prices!
webman Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 We get good printers & their associated consumables from a company called XMA.
russdev Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 xma downroad from us well next county but still down the road russ
john Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 I will recommend a few, to show that I do have some excellent relationships with companies: CCL Computers - http://www.cclonline.com (phone up Education Sales and ask to speak to Lyndsey or Mark), Insight - http://www.insight.com/uk/ , Arena Business Machines - http://www.arenagroup.net, Netsupport Software Mills Ltd Big Red Shark Abacus Direct RS Number One Services
Ric_ Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 Qual always bend over backwards for me (tel: Jo on 0117 373 0010) I buy a lot of [used] gear of 1st Technologies too (tel: Stuart on 01254 878800) I've also found Ramesys rather good for MS licensing (number escapes me at the moment)
john Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 Yeah, cannot recommend Matt from Ramesys highly enough, he is excellent! Don't use him here, but do for every other education job I do
sahmeepee Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 Our usual suspects: Software licensing: Phoenix (after getting the runaround from Ramesys a while back) Hardware: Inmac (phones every couple of weeks, quite flexible on prices) Misco (good prices (pen drives!), emails every week or two, apparently they're a pain if you need to return something) Insight (again competitive prices, no pestering at all) Aria (good for bits and pieces, very flexible when you bulk-buy, quick turnaround, no pestering at all) ...and a new one! - TSI Europe - worryingly cheap for toners and projector lamps. Not had any problems with them as yet. That's about it. Scan and Dabs are useful as pricing benchmarks, but don't really do haggling, especially Dabs.
Disease Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006 Lo huys. We use Dabs.com, brilliant next day delivery, great prices, very good on returns. We used Novatech previously as they were local to us but to be honest the service is crap comsidering we are spending nearly 100k a year.
