nathan Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Has anyone had experience with these on their recent build quality. I bought one for my sister 3 odd years ago and wasn't that impressed with the build quality. We have one coming on a loan to have a look at the quality but just wondered if any of you guys had a recent experience with them. Price wise nobody can beat them. - Intel Core i3-4130 3.4GHz - 8GB RAM + 500GB HDD - SFF Case + DVDRW - Windows 8.1 Pro - downgraded to Windows 7 Pro - 1 year warranty All for £255.
localzuk Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 We had a few at my last school. Wasn't overly impressed with the built quality, but they worked ok. I left before I could see how long they lasted.
nathan Posted May 12, 2014 Author Posted May 12, 2014 thanks, i'll have to look at the components inside. I would presume they use off the self parts (unlike dell etc)
localzuk Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Yeah, its all standard Intel system builder stuff IIRC. I'd say have a chat with @VeryPC also, as they will probably be able to do you something similar. 1
nathan Posted May 12, 2014 Author Posted May 12, 2014 I've been quoted some prices on very pc's before (not by very pc themselves) and they worked out £100 more for less of a spec pc.
Oaktech Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 I've inherited some Zoostorm stuff, and as long as it is working it is pretty good value, but I've had appalling experiences with support, to the point where they essentially gave up and told me to google the problem. They did send me a couple of new parts, but it was like pulling teeth.
clockend25 Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Their SFF offerings are quite tasty. We've got a suite full here and haven't had any problems with them since they went in last summer.

laserblazer Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 My wife has a netbook. The lithium cell needs replacing but they have made it as difficult as possible to get to it.
HTCPCP Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 We have a few hundred Zoostorms here, can't really fault them. Ours have a 3 year warranty where they send out an engineer. All the parts are off the shelf and the current set are Gigabyte MBs. Yeah, they aren't bullet proof and blanking plates are flimsy, but what can anyone expect at that price. However be warned, always keep a couple of spare boxes around if you have a return to base warranty as they do charge for replacement boxes. Support on the phone isn't great, but they do have some good phone support people there too.

Feel free to get in touch and I'll do my best to provide you with a great offer - clearly sourcing from VARs will inflate your buy price. Best, Col
