Transcend SSD 64GB (£28!)

I just bought 10x SSDs the Transcend SSD340 it was the lowest cost 64GB SSD on ebuyer and I wasn't expecting much. Anyhow it came with an desktop adaptor which was nice but it's also really quick!

 

I've never seen a gigabit connection maxxed out before, the link was running at 109MB/s a second or 99.97% WDS installed really quick as well. I ignore the rated throughputs but the whole PC is quiiick. I was refreshing some old wx4600 with E7400CPUs (2.8 core 2) and 2GB RAM... It is now blazing, the old circa 2007 120GB drive was showing its age. (drive older than PC for reasons)

 

Anyhow I think a few more PCs are getting the old SSD treatment from now on.

Seen them before, they're quite unknown but appear to be decent budget drives. Got to be better than the V300 after the NAND debacle that Kingston pulled.

Its not worth buying cheap storage devices imo.

 

Spend the extra money for intel or samsung and never have to touch the drives again.

Curious as looking at the V300 v HyperX 3K 120Gb drives at the moment... Care to elaborate?
