Quick one i'm sure i've seen this done before.

How do you open two sessions of sims.net on one client!?

Cheers

Use the multiinstance switch with pulsar (launch both instances from a shortcut that uses it)

pulsar.exe /MULTIINSTANCE

That doesn't work for me or another user it just keeps bringing up the one instance of SIMS? this is on a windows 7 x64 desktop

make sure you have logged in before you try to make another instance

You'll have to close any running instances of SIMS (including any hung pulsar.exe processes), then launch fresh instances from the new shortcut.

It works here on Windows 7 SP1 32 & 64bit and on Windows 8 64bit.

Those of you that are having trouble, do you still have the SIMSLoad.exe included within your shortcut?

SIMSLoad breaks it.

Providing you're using S3 you don't need SIMSLoad included in your shortcut anyway so just delete it.

I have two shortcuts - one with out the multiinstance switch - I launch from the one without the switch, and then launch the one with the switch - try that

No joy here either :(

running pulsar /? at the command prompt also highlighted some other unknown about features, which also DO NOT work. who knew?!

EDIT: luddite here, so need simsload, but even taking it out didn't work. Meh, don't need to run it twice that badly, don't have the spare RAM anyway :p
