IT Services company - Want to set up service contract

Hi

 

One of a IT services company, who did our server virtualization project have gone into administration.

They had few more projects that were supposed to completed by them. Also I feel there is bottlenecks on the network , which needs to be looked by the team of different experts and I don't have the expertise.

 

We are based southwest of England and I am planning to setup a service contract with a good IT service company, please suggest .

 

Please post names of any good company /any suggestions much appreciated

What size school are you and in which County. I'm not keen on seeing school IT support outsourced and feel in house is a far better option for all concerned.

You could try a company called Burconix Ltd we have used these guys for a few things as do a couple of other schools in the borough excellent reliable outfit and will offer you as much or as little support as required so can just come in and help with major projects or offer you on going support what ever you require can't rate them highly enough. They also work throughout the UK.

Why do you say that? Not that I disagree.

I don't think it's a case of outsourcing it's just having "experts" that you can get additional support from and additional man power for projects.

unfortunately that's not possible for all schools

This is pretty much how we use it at the moment.

 

Basically, tech support's tech support.

 

 

However, our new guys have me slightly worried. There are sometimes the sort of companies you have to keep a close eye on, lest they take over...
